Join the 30 Days of Kindness Challenge!
It's been a while since we have shared our 30 Days of Kindness Challenge... so we thought what better time than the month of November! With Thanksgiving only a few weeks away, this is the perfect season to reflect on all you are grateful for and in turn commit to giving to others by performing one random act of kindness each day. Our goal is to help create a world where practicing human kindness is a natural and freely shared expression of who we are as a society.
"Be generous. Give to those you love; give to those who love you, give to the fortunate, give to the unfortunate — yes, give especially to those you don’t want to give. You will receive abundance for your giving. The more you give, the more you will have!"
— W. Clement Stone
What’s the point of performing acts of kindness for others? Glad you asked. It makes the world a better place! When you perform a kind act for someone you not only help them feel better, you’ll feel better about yourself as well. You’ll also connect with another person for a brief moment, if not for longer. Connections are as important to us as humans as food, water and shelter. Without human connections, our lives can feel shallow and empty. The beauty of kindness is that it creates a connection that is felt by both the giver and receiver.
“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” – Brené Brown
Giving spontaneously and for little or no reason, can have a powerful affect on the receiver. That person can become inspired to in turn pass on the kindness. This multiplies the initial act of kindness exponentially, creating more human connections and making our world a kinder place.
"Remember there's no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end." — Scott Adams
